CAP-ACADIE, NB, September 8, 2023 — The Cap-Acadie Chamber of Commerce announces the postponement of the very first edition of Escapade Cap-Acadie, originally scheduled for September 14 to 16, 2023. Due to weather developments related to Hurricane Lee, security logistics, food and risk management, the festival is now scheduled to take place from July 18 to 20, 2024.
The safety and well-being of all participants, artists, crews, partners, visitors and local residents are at the heart of the Chamber’s concerns. Although weather forecasts are subject to change, the logistics behind this event to ensure its success are not negligible. With this in mind, and after careful consideration, the difficult decision was made to postpone the first edition of Escapade Cap-Acadie until 2024.
“The possible arrival of this storm not only represents a meteorological challenge, but also imposes a considerable logistical burden on our small team. Every detail of Escapade Cap-Acadie has been carefully planned, and this kind of major contingency turns our work into a real headache to ensure everyone’s safety. Despite this, I’m confident we’ll get through this ordeal and deliver quite a festival from July 18 to 20, 2024,” says Anthony Azard, CEO of the Cap-Acadie Chamber of Commerce.
The team understands the impact this change may have on everyone’s planning, and sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience caused.
