CAP-ACADIE, NB, July 2, 2024 – On behalf of the Cap-Acadie Chamber of Commerce, we are delighted to have learned of Mr. Victor Boudreau’s appointment to the Senate of Canada. This appointment recognizes Mr. Boudreau’s immense contribution to the development of our region and the province.
Mr. Boudreau has been a strong advocate of the region’s economic and social development for many years. He has been closely involved with La Chambre de commerce de la région de Cap-Pelé, notably during his tenure as Chief Administrative Officer of the former Village of Cap-Pelé from 2000 to 2004, as MLA for the riding of Shediac-Beaubassin-Cap-Pelé from 2004 to 2018, and as Minister of Finance, Economic Development, Regional Development Corporation and Health.
Throughout his career, Mr. Boudreau has demonstrated the rigour, open-mindedness and natural curiosity that make him an exceptional leader. His commitment to the well-being of his community and his passion for economic development make him a valuable asset to the Senate of Canada.
We are convinced that Mr. Boudreau will be an important ally for Acadians, Francophones, and all Canadians from coast to coast. His experience and in-depth knowledge of the issues facing rural communities will be invaluable to the work of the Senate.
