CAP-PELÉ, N.-B., April 24th, 2022 — On behalf of the Cap-Pelé/Beaubassin-Est Chamber of Commerce, the Board of Directors and I are wholeheartedly with the Chez Camille Take Out team in Cap-Pelé. Like many, I am saddened and in shock to see another business in our region go under the flames earlier this morning.
The Cap-Pelé/Beaubassin-Est Chamber of Commerce continues to fulfill its duty of representativeness with humility, that is, to be the voice of the business community of the Rural Community of Beaubassin-Est as well as the Village of Cap-Pelé since 1994.
Regarding the fire situation, in August, we met with the Rural Community of Beaubassin-Est and the Village of Cap-Pelé to discuss the issue affecting the business community. The unfortunate situation today with Chez Camille Take Out adds to the long list of recent fires, we are still very concerned about the safety of our businesses.
However, we can, and we must, trust the work and the investigation currently being carried out by the competent authorities on this case. We hope that the investigations can lead to concise & clear conclusions for our businesses.
Moreover, we are proud to see a lively enthusiasm in the entrepreneurship community, and we are currently experiencing a flagrant increase in the number of businesses in our territory. Over the past year, we have notably welcomed around thirty new members, which also includes newly created businesses in our two municipalities.
The Cap-Pelé/Beaubassin-Est Chamber of Commerce is in solidarity with you. In these times, which can be difficult and stressful, know that you can count on your representative organization to make your concerns heard.
Cordially,
Anthony Azard
Chief Executive Officer
