Grand-Barachois, June 18, 2021 – Nearly forty people attended the unveiling of the recovery plan of the Cap-Pelé / Beaubassin-Est Chamber of Commerce at the Annual General Meeting held last night at the Saint-André-LeBlanc Community Centre in Beaubassin-Est.
“We just attended a refreshing and completely renewed Annual General Meeting! We wanted to create a calmer and more relaxed atmosphere in order to better position the future of the Chamber of Commerce to our members.” says Natalie Cormier, Interim President.

ELECTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The members of the board of directors all saw their mandate renewed for another year, without opposition:

- Treasurer: Serge Collin, Claritech Innovations

- Administrator: Hector Doiron, Logis-Tech-Homes
Natalie Cormier was appointed Interim President at a special board meeting held after the Annual General Meeting due to the sick leave of President Christine Duguay.
LAUNCH OF PUBLIC CONSULTATION
The AGM took place under the theme “On our way to recovery!” to celebrate the upcoming return to a new after COVID-19 normal. Other than the health crisis, there was also a question of relaunching the activities of the Cap-Pelé / Beaubassin-Est Chamber of Commerce.
Since January 2021, the board of directors has hired the consultant Ben Champoux from ChampouXinc to conduct an overview of the situation and define the future of the Chamber of Commerce. The exercise has been completed internally a few weeks ago. In the coming weeks, members, former members and potentially new members, will be called upon to give their opinion on the actions and strategies that the Cap-Pelé / Beaubassin-Est Chamber of Commerce must undertake in order to meet their needs.
The dates for the public consultations have been announced, and an invitation will be sent out very soon:

The hours of the sessions will be determined and sessions will be open in French and English.
